Is Cleveland Free Press connected to the Cleveland Press or Cleveland Free Times?
No! Cleveland Free Press is an independent website started by kpaul media. We are aware of the history of the Cleveland Press and the Cleveland Free Times and aspire to be as good as they once were. The name comes from another project of kpaul media, Anderson Free Press and Muncie Free Press. (There's a long story there, but not enough people have asked it for it to be frequent yet!)
What exactly is Cleveland Free Press?
This is a good question! While some have called what I do "citizen journalism," I prefer the term "grassroots journalism" or even "Community Journalism." Basically, Cleveland Free Press is a mix of prefessional journalists and citizens who care about Cleveland (or have a gripe to get off their chest.) Cleveland Free Press is all about you. It is an online community or "social network" of people who want information about Cleveland. No, we're not Facebook, but we do have a Facebook page (you can "like us" on the top left of every page. Just saying. Small smile.) Seriously, though, Cleveland Free Press is an online news community serving Northern Ohio - the best place to live in the world.
